Seesaw Adds The “Send Back” Feature For Teachers.

(Edit:  This feature will actually not be available until January 22, 2020)

Seesaw recently rolled out a new feature that finally allows teachers to send a student’s post back to them to re-edit if needed.  This has been a feature request for some time and is finally here!  But… there is a catch.

whats-the-catch-meme

  • First, this feature is only available if a user has Seesaw Plus or Seesaw for Schools.  These are both paid versions of Seesaw. The Issaquah School District pays for Seesaw for Schools in grades K-5.
  • Second, if a teacher wants this feature to be active, they will  have to set their class sign-in method to Class Code, 1:1 devices.Seesaw Signin methodsThis this is the only way that the “send back” feature will work for teachers and students.  The good news is that students can still be on shared devices even if the class is set to “Class Code- 1:1 Devices”.  They will just have to remember to log out before the next student uses the device.

The “Send Back” feature can really help in making sure that students and teachers are making the most out of their posts to the class journal.
