When trying new tech tools, start small! Flipgrid’s new feature for educators, shorts, are a great way to dip your toes in. Shorts are quick videos – recorded on Flipgrid – that can be shared with anyone! That means that they don’t need to be connected to a specific grid or topic (#Beyondthegrid), allowing you to connect with anyone. Shorts are only for educators.
Once you’ve recorded a short, you can share it anywhere with a quick link. Some ways that educators are using shorts are to:
- Explain directions
- Introduce a new lesson
- Share a message with students or colleagues
- Send video updates or announcements
You can even active whiteboard mode to model a specific concept or skill in your short! Because it’s so quick and easy, it’s a great virtual tool to keep in your back pocket.
