EdSurge is an educational technology company dedicated to connecting educators with innovative tools and practices to help create powerful, 21st century learning.

Their website is chalk full of great resources, including articles, podcasts, tech product reviews and the excellent EdSurge Product Index which allows users to filter product reviews according to your specific need (e.g.- assessment tools.)

However, it’s biggest contribution to shaping classrooms of the 21st Century is through it’s Tech for Schools Summits, at which they bring together educators, vendors and school leaders to talk and learn about integrating technology. EdSurge sponsors and hosts 5-6 Tech Summits across the US every year.

This year, Issaquah will be co-hosting an EdSurge Tech for Schools Summit. The summit will take place at Gibson Ek Innovative High School on December 2 and December 3.

At the Summit, educators get to try out innovative products, ask questions of the entrepreneurs and developers who built them, and share their feedback on what they need in their classrooms.

No spin.

No fluff.

And free for k-12 educators!

Teachers who attend the summit will:

Have hands-on interactions with +30 tech tools for teachers from curriculum products to teacher tools (selected by local teams of judges)

Hear amazing educator Ignite Talks including ISD’s own Annie Tremonte.

Have the chance to earn PD credits through USC Rossier School of Education

Plus they will be raffling 15 mobile devices (Microsoft Surfaces, Chromebooks, iPad Minis) and ISD teachers who attend on Saturday, can be paid out of tech dollars for attending. This is a great opportunity for teachers and staff to come see what Ed Surge is all about.
