Come Play with AI Tools and Explore the Possibilities

In November of 2022, a company called OpenAI released version 3.0 of its Chatbot called ChatGPT. Within days, claims of seismic change were being declared by thought leaders and TikTokers. There were also cries of alarm about the impact on careers, education, and society. Since that time Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Amazon, and 1000s of other companies have released updates and tools that rely on artificial intelligence engines. Every day since seems to bring a new application, including tools designed to help teachers and students.

Amidst all of this tumult and upheaval, one salient fact has emerged.

AI is here to stay and will only grow in its potential and impact.

In the same way that the internet and smartphones changed our lives and work, AI tools will transform the way we work, live and experience the world.

In order to get a sense of where things are headed and to begin thinking about the impact and catch glimpses of the possibilities we are inviting you to…

Come play with AI tools and explore the possibilities…

We are offering three open-house-style sessions that will give you a chance to try out some of these tools and engage in conversation about them. You will be able to explore at your own pace. These sessions will start at 3:15 but come when you can and stay as long as you like.

Session 1 – May 22 at Maywood Middle School from 3:15 – 5:15

Is there an option for a later start time in the afternoon? School dismisses at 3:45 and the parking lot is packed until 3:55. There’s no way we could be there by 3:15. Sounds like a fun class.
