ITP is a great opportunity for teachers to learn about and bring new technology into their classrooms.

Applications for the 2020-2021 ITP cohort will open on February 14 and close on March 30th. Below you will find all the information you need to know about the program and the application process. Additionally, over the next couple of weeks we will be posting some tips to make your application stronger and also hearing from ITP participants about what how the program has helped learning in their classrooms.

ITP Grounds

ITP Dates

ITP is a year long program that starts with an immersive five-day training at the Sleeping Lady Resort in Leavenworth, WA. We then meet five time during the school year to continue the learning.

ITP Summer Dates are July 26 – July 30 (we start at 4:30 on July 26 and finish around 12:30 on July 30.)

ITP Follow-Ups are held on Fridays from 4:30 to 7:30. They will be held on the following dates: October 09, November 13, February 05, March 19 and May 14.

Who Can Apply?

All teachers are welcome to apply who currently hold a provisional or continuing contract, have never attended ITP or did not attend during the summers of 2018 or 2019.

Application Info

Applications will be accepted starting February 14 and teachers will be able to submit their applications until 11:59 PM on Monday, March 16.

The application process is completed online and consists of two parts.

Each applicant will complete an online form and be asked to respond to three questions. Additionally, each applicant must ask for an administrator referral which is an online form that must be completed by the chosen administrator and submitted by 11:59 PM on Monday, March 30.

Participant applications will be scored by ITP instructors and then those scores will be combined their weighted Administrator Referral. This score will be used to create a ranking of applicants. Spots in ITP will then be given to participants based on that ranking and the School Representation Measure.

Teachers who apply will be notified of their status by April 10.

What Do You Get?

ITP provides both equipment and training to support teacher understanding in how to best use that equipment to support powerful learning.

5th Graders with Laptops

We offer a class set of laptops to teachers of grades 3-12 (teachers of grades 3-5 get 25 and teachers of grades 6-12 get 32.)

What this means is that for students whose teacher participate in ITP, they will always have access to a computer and teachers are able to fully develop instruction with technology.

Kahoot in the classroom

For our teachers of kindergarten through second grade, things are a little different.

K-2 teachers who attend ITP will receive 7 iPads and a set of programmable devices that interact with the iPads. While not a one-to-one environment, this pathway still provides opportunities for our younger students to grow their learning using familiar and comfortable technology

I love seeing my students here! Going to ITP was a great experience and my kindergarten class continues to benefit from my learning and our access to technology four years later! If you are considering applying, I HIGHLY recommend you DO IT! :)
