This week (December 4-8, 2017) is Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) This annual program is dedicated to encouraging K-12 students learn about and become aware of computer science and its role in their lives.
Begun by the Computing in the Core coalition, Code.org has grown CSEdWeek over the last few years and is now supported by 350 partners and 100,000 educators worldwide.
The center piece of Computer Science Education Week is Hour of Code, a global movement designed to get everybody to try coding. Hour of Code annually reaches 10s of millions of students and is active in over 180 countries.
Issaquah School District has had students participating each of the last four years, and this year there are a number of ways for you to bring computer science to your classroom.
